Despite feeling the wrath of the pandemic, St Luke’s Hospice – a well-known and local institution in North London – carried on with their annual Midnight Walk which was postponed last year due to the lockdown.
Over 650 people gathered at Bryon Park in Harrow to join the much-missed charity walk in the area.

As I mentioned in Parliament this week, India’s giant second wave is a disaster, not just for India, but for the whole world. It is a reminder to us all that this global pandemic is relentless and knows no bounds.
To see the world’s largest vaccine producer struggle has been deeply distressing to watch. The harrowing scenes of hospitals full to the brim, people struggling to secure oxygen and the pressures on crematoriums were very hard to acknowledge.

Prince Philip was indeed an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life. He was the epitome of public service who devoted his entire life to Crown and Country. He demonstrated the essence of selfless service and lived by the motto that the things you do for others remain your greatest legacy.

The launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) on 1st January 2021 was a historic event with the potential to transform the continent. To realise this potential, policymakers will need to confront many challenges to successful implementation, continuing to work closely alongside regional trade groups.
For decades, the idea of a common African market has been a major goal for the continent’s leaders. Relative to other continents, trade between African countries is woefully low. The launch of the AfCFTA on 1st January 2021 marks a significant moment for the continent, the start of the road towards frictionless trade in goods and services between all African countries.
